No matter who you are, or where your weaknesses lie, we all have a hard time with new friends. But if we can make the effort to put ourselves out there, a friend can be a huge blessing.
A feeling of contentment is something we all desire, but sometimes seems impossible to find. We all have to learn to be content in our circumstances. And just when we think we’ve figured it out, life throws a curve ball that brings the discontentment once again. So, what’s the secret? How do you live a contented life?
We are all trying to make the right choices in life, fearful of taking a wrong turn or making a life-altering decision. The Bible gives instruction in so many different areas, but there are still many decisions that need to be made that aren’t specifically spoken to. So then, how can we know God’s direction for our lives?
There is a lot of pressure within the Christian community to spend time daily with the Lord. While it may seem to some like a standard that is impossible to obtain, there is good reason for it. But Bible study is intimidating!! How do I find a method that works for who I am?
Suffering is really hard, and sometimes there is no way to make any sense of it. But God Himself is with you. He is waiting, full of grace, to restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you in Christ Jesus.
Why is it that we ignore the sin that we don’t want to let go of? We cannot stick our heads in the sand. Pretending to not be convicted of your sin is not the same as not being convicted. Ignoring the problem will not make it go away.
With so many of life’s demands vying for your attention every day, the idea of being still before God seems laughable. In our fast paced, success driven American culture, sitting in silence feels like a waste of our time. But it’s important.
God says that He is here to comfort us in our distress and that when we ask, He gives abundantly so that we, in turn, can comfort others.
